What to Expect
Despite being called a 'sausage market' (Wurstmarkt), this is actually the world's largest wine festival. Held over two September weekends in Bad Dürkheim, it features the best wines of the Palatinate (Pfalz) region along with regional specialties. The name comes from the historic combination of wine trading and sausage vendors at the original market.
