What to Expect
The 36th edition of Maisel's Weissbierfest runs from May 7-10, 2026 on the grounds of the Gebr. Maisel brewery in Bayreuth. The brewery is one of the most famous Weissbier producers in Germany. The festival includes live music acts, a brewery run, and the traditional open-air celebration on the brewery's courtyard. Free entry.
The Story
Maisel's brewery was founded in 1887 by the Maisel brothers in Bayreuth. Their Weissbier became one of the most recognized wheat beers in Germany. The annual Weissbierfest started as a brewery open house and grew into one of Franconia's top beer celebrations.
