What to Expect
The Passauer Maidult is one of three annual Dulten in Passau (alongside the Jacobidult and Herbstdult). Running from April 30 to June 7, 2026, it features beer tents, carnival rides, food stalls, and a traditional market along the Danube. The 'Oide Dult' (Old Dult) runs in the Klostergarten with vintage atmosphere and historical elements.
The Story
The Passauer Dulten date back centuries, with the Maidult traditionally serving as the spring market and fair. Passau, at the confluence of three rivers (Danube, Inn, and Ilz), has been a trading center since medieval times, and the Dulten were central to regional commerce.
