Quick answer
Frühlings-Stadtmosphäre Rothenburg is a seasonal event in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bavaria. It runs from Apr 25–26, 2026. Spring Stadtmosphäre weekend — open-air stages, clubs, and shops in the walled Altstadt (plus Sunday shopping).
Rothenburg's spring Stadtmosphäre — open-air stages, clubs, and Sunday shopping inside the medieval walls.
Frühlings-Stadtmosphäre (often styled Stadtmosphäre) is Rothenburg ob der Tauber's spring city festival, organized by Stadtmarketing Rothenburg ob der Tauber e.V. For 2026 it is set for 25–26 April across the historic core and areas before the walls: open-air stages, club and trade actions, stalls, kids' attractions, and a flea-market tradition in the Rathaus vaults in past editions. Sunday is a verkaufsoffener Sonntag (shops from 13:00). Reach the Altstadt on foot from the large public/private parking areas around the walls; through-traffic into the old town is restricted during the program for safety. This is a seasonal town atmosphere weekend — not a classic beer-tent Volksfest — though gastronomy and local drinking culture are part of the stroll.
History
First organized in 2008 by the citizen/business group 'Liebenswertes Rothenburg e.V.' In 2011, its organizers joined the newly founded Stadtmarketing Rothenburg ob der Tauber e.V., which has run the festival since — the association is younger than the event it now organizes. The 2020 and 2021 editions were cancelled for COVID-19; otherwise it has run every spring.
