Mainbernheim's Weinpräsentation is a single Saturday-evening event, not a multi-day regional wine fair. Held in the Alter Turngarten, a green space along the town's medieval city wall, it presents Mainbernheim's own Stadtwein: the 2025 Mainbernheimer Dornberg and the Bernemer Secco, both from Weingut Schalk & Rausch, alongside Franconian grill food and live music.
The wine served traces to a genuine 17 April 2004 revival: the Franconian Wine Queen ceremonially planted the first vine of a new town vineyard, following a near-total collapse of Mainbernheim's centuries-old viticulture (documented back to a bumper 1069 harvest, and roughly 700 acres under vine by 1812) driven by phylloxera around 1902–1907 and 1950s land consolidation. The Weinpräsentation event itself is a separate thread from that replanting story — editions have run since at least 2008, a decade before the current presenting winery, Weingut Schalk & Rausch, was even founded in 2019. The winery's youth doesn't make the event young, and the event's longer run shouldn't be credited to this winery's own tenure.
Admission is free, in keeping with the standard Franconian pay-per-glass model. Unlike many fixed-calendar Weinfeste, this event's date has moved across editions — floating between mid-May and late June in past years — so the 27 June 2026 date shouldn't be assumed to repeat on the same calendar slot in future years.
